Billing & Refund Policy

This Billing & Refund Policy explains how subscriptions to Bearing Plus are priced, billed, renewed, cancelled, and refunded. It is part of, and incorporated into, the Bearing Life Terms of Service, and uses the same defined terms. Bearing Life is operated by P2 Reserve LLC ("Bearing Life," "we," "us," or "our").

If anything in this policy conflicts with the rules of the app store you bought through (the Apple App Store), that store's rules control for that purchase.

1. Free Tier and Bearing Plus

Bearing Life offers a free tier and a paid subscription, Bearing Plus.

  • The free tier is available at no cost and does not require payment information.
  • Bearing Plus is $12.99 per month. It unlocks the Plus features described in the app at the time you subscribe. Prices are in U.S. dollars and exclude any taxes, which may be added at checkout.

We may change Plus pricing or which features are included. Any price change applies to future billing periods only and will be disclosed to you before it takes effect, as described in Section 6.

2. How You Are Billed (Apple App Store)

Bearing Plus is currently sold only as an auto-renewing in-app subscription through the Apple App Store. When you subscribe:

  • Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
  • Your subscription automatically renews for the same period (monthly) at the then-current price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • Apple charges the renewal to your Apple ID within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • You can view and manage the subscription, including the renewal date and price, in your device's Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions (or App Store → your account → Subscriptions).

Because the purchase is processed by Apple, Apple — not Bearing Life — handles your payment, billing records, and receipts. Your purchase is also subject to Apple's Media Services Terms and Conditions.

3. Cancelling Your Subscription

You can cancel Bearing Plus at any time. To cancel an Apple App Store subscription, open Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions, find this app in the list, and tap Cancel Subscription. Cancelling stops the next renewal.

Deleting the Bearing Life app does not cancel your subscription — you must cancel through your Apple ID subscription settings.

4. What Happens When You Cancel Mid-Cycle

Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current paid billing period — not immediately.

  • You keep full access to Bearing Plus until the end of the period you have already paid for. For example, if you are billed on the 5th and cancel on the 20th, your Plus access continues through the next 5th, then stops.
  • When the period ends, your subscription does not renew, the charges stop, and your account returns to the free tier.
  • We do not provide partial or prorated refunds for the unused portion of a billing period. Cancelling part-way through a month does not trigger a refund for the remaining days; instead, you keep Plus for those days.

Your data is not deleted when you return to the free tier. Plus-only features are simply locked until you resubscribe. To delete your account or data entirely, use the app's Settings → Account → Delete account option.

5. Refunds

Bearing Plus is sold through the Apple App Store, and all refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple under Apple's policies — not by Bearing Life. We cannot grant, deny, or process a refund for an App Store purchase, and we do not receive your payment details.

To request a refund for a Bearing Plus charge:

  • Visit reportaproblem.apple.com, or
  • Open Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions (or your Apple receipt email) and follow Apple's "Report a Problem" flow.

Apple decides refund requests at its sole discretion based on its own policies and applicable law. Approval is not guaranteed, and Apple's decision is final for App Store purchases.

Statutory rights. Nothing in this policy limits any refund or cancellation rights you have that cannot be waived under the consumer-protection laws that apply to you. Where the law gives you a mandatory right to a refund, that right still applies.

6. Price Changes and Renewal Reminders

If we change the price of Bearing Plus, the new price applies to billing periods after the change. Apple will notify you of a price increase and, where required, ask you to agree to the new price before it takes effect. If you do not agree, your subscription will not renew at the higher price. We may also send reminders about upcoming renewals where required by law or app-store rules.

7. Failed Payments and Lapsed Subscriptions

If a renewal payment fails, Apple may retry the charge under its billing-retry rules. If payment is not collected, your Bearing Plus subscription will lapse and your account will return to the free tier. You can resubscribe at any time at the then-current price.

8. Direct Purchases (If Offered in the Future)

Bearing Plus is not currently sold directly by us (for example, through our website). If and when we offer a direct subscription that we bill ourselves:

  • It will auto-renew on the same monthly basis until you cancel, and you can cancel at any time from your account settings.
  • Cancellation will take effect at the end of the current paid period. You will keep Plus until then, and we will not provide prorated refunds for the unused portion of a period.
  • Any refund terms specific to direct purchases will be presented to you at checkout before you are charged, and this policy will be updated to describe them.

Until we expressly offer direct billing, Sections 2–7 (Apple App Store) govern all Bearing Plus purchases.

9. Taxes

Prices shown may not include sales, use, value-added, or similar taxes. Where we or the app store are required to collect tax, it will be added to your total at the applicable rate for your location.

10. Governing Law and Contact

This policy is governed by the laws of the State of Texas, consistent with the Bearing Life Terms of Service, and does not limit any mandatory consumer rights under the law that applies to you.
